Restaurant Design
The

Owner Advocate
Using idea boards, Greg
works as the owner advocate, helping owners to visualize variations on
themes, to
execute their vision, and to meet their budget.
Artistic Design
Greg designs for beauty
and functionality. He is a master of creating cohesive interiors that are
consistent with the owner’s desired theme. He finds out-of-the-way
suppliers who can provide exciting alternatives for all types of interior
materials, from bar stools, to floor coverings to lighting. Happily and
artistically, he designs wine cases, railings, and bars in partnership with
local artisans. Owners are thrilled with the effect, and the local artists,
whether they are mill workers, carpenters, or painters, appreciate being
asked to flex their artistic sensibilities to create a work that is off the
beaten path.
Building Codes &
Construction
Greg is also gifted in
finding the grey areas in the code. He works tirelessly with zoning
boards and cities to present his concepts and get permit approval. Because
he walks drawings through the cities, he knows what they are looking for and
what they will approve. He understands the ADA (Americans with Disabilities
Act) rules as well as where there room for creativity. He builds consensus
and crafts compromise. He works with the engineering teams (electrical,
mechanical, plumbing). He works with the team through the construction.
